You've learned about the fantastic benefits and opportunities that come with being a TRU PRO affiliate, including generous commissions, exclusive discounts, and a wide array of promotional tools. Now, let's dive deeper into how you can maximize these benefits and effectively promote TRU PRO products.
We offer 2 options to earn commission and offer a discount to a customer:
Earning commission is simple! Just share your customized coupon code through email, SMS, social media, forums, blogs, etc. When a customer uses the discount code during checkout, our system will apply the discount and track the commission you earned from the transaction.
If your account has been approved/internally adjusted by TRU PRO staff, take the following steps:

This section shows all Affiliate programs that are available to you. Here is an example:
PROGRAM: Describes the area where the referral link is valid, product type, discount, and commission structure for certain items or complete order).
TYPE: Per Sale vs. Per Profit: Per Sale means that the affiliate will receive a commission as a percentage of the total order value. Per Profit means that the affiliate will only receive a commission if the total order value reaches a certain level (for example, a minimum order of $100)
COMMISSION: Percentage the affiliate receives from the first purchase of a customer.
COMMISSION from 2nd order: Percentage an affiliate receives from the second purchase of the same customer.
DISCOUNT TYPE:
- Option 1: Percent of product price discount: It is the discount percentage a customer receives on his purchase using the referral link/coupon code.
- Option 2: Fixed amount discount: the value that is being discounted from the original order value.
DISCOUNT: This either shows the percentage or discount value based on the DISCOUNT TYPE (percentage vs. fixed amount).
This is where you find all the referral information. There are 3 main options for creating a "referral."
1. OFFER A DISCOUNT CODE: This is the easiest way to offer a discount to a potential customer and earn a commission! Every Affiliate Program comes with a Coupon Code. If somebody uses this coupon code during checkout, our system will apply the discount and commission as described in the "Program".
All you have to do is share the coupon code with potential customers!
2. REFERRAL LINK: In this section, you can create your referral link to post on our blog, social media, text, email, etc. This is useful if you want to share a particular page from our website (instead of a coupon code).
- HOW TO CREATE A REFERRAL LINK?
1. Login to your TRU PRO account.
2. Click on the tab called "Promo Data"
3. Copy any preferred page URL from one of the following websites (it will automatically create the referral link):
4. Copy and SHARE the URL.
IMPORTANT:
- Affiliate coupon codes and referral links will NOT work for customers who want to make a purchase but are signed up as TRU PRO preferred pricing account holders!
- Affiliate links will NOT work if a potential customer has cookies (a piece of code that saves tracking information) disabled on their browser. The coupon code will track all conversions.
- We operate 3 websites: https://truproofficial.com (USA), https://europe.truproofficial.com (EUROPE including UK, Norway & Switzerland), https://global.truproofficial.com (all countries except USA and EUROPE). If you want to use a referral link as a promotional tool, you must create a link specifically for the website you wish to promote!!!
- If your Affiliate program name is USA, referral links will only work for pages on https://truproofficial.com, if your Affiliate program name is Worldwide, it will allow you to create affiliate links for all 3 websites (regions).
- Some referral accounts offer more than one Affiliate Program. In this case, our system will check if the purchased product(s) match those associated with an affiliate program. If there are 2 programs that share the same product type (for example, Program 1 offers a discount STOREWIDE, but Program 2 offers a discount for tennis strings ONLY, if, for example, a customer attempts to purchase a tennis string through a referral link (Program 2) AND then adds a product other than a tennis string (Program 1), our system will use the discount and commission from Program 1 as default!
3. BANNERS: This feature is currently disabled.
This section allows affiliates to create a promo widget that can be embedded on their website and blog. The promo widget can be adjusted by a variety of variables to match your promo needs.
This section shows if the referral came from a link, banner, or widget and how often they have been used.
This section allows affiliates to share our homepage with potential customers through a variety of means, from email to social media, skype, Reddit, and WhatsApp, to name a few. Just select your preferred social network, and a link with your referral code will automatically created.
NOTE: If you are signed in to your TRU PRO account, are registered as an Affiliate, and visit a product page, you will see an option on the bottom left of the website to share a referral link for the product you are currently viewing!
This section shows your current balance and the MINIMUM PAYOUT amount that is required to initiate a commission withdrawal request. Just enter the amount and click "SEND REQUEST". Once we receive your request, we will initiate a PayPal money transfer to the email that you provided in your initial Affiliate Program Setup.
